“Soul of the Musician” is the first piece of the 5 Musician pieces and the first piece created in what is now known as the style of Patrick Joseph Joven.

This art piece tells the story of a diffident musician wanting to share their music with the world. When looking closely, you will notice that the headphones originate from the heart, meaning that the musician listen to their heart and ultimately the body. The build up of musical ideas in the body is then concentrated at the mouth, which was intentionally placed on the guitar. The guitar is then plugged into the earth symbolizing that the musician wants to share their musical ideas with the world. 

This piece is inspired by the artists own passions of music and learning and understanding of human anatomy.
