About

Fueled by passion and driven to illustrate life through a creative lens, Patrick Joseph Joven, is a Filipino-American artist, multi-instrumental musician, and Trauma ICU registered nurse based in the San Antonio area. Born in California and raised in Texas, his preferred mediums include colored pencils, markers, and pens on paper or wood. He leans heavily on traditional line work and shading techniques to bring his pieces to life.

Patrick’s formal artistic training includes a few art classes in middle school and several courses through Art League Houston. However, much of his style was shaped independently—born from years of doodling drums and guitars on homework pages. It wasn’t until college, while using drawing as a study tool for anatomy and physiology, that he laid the foundation for his current body of work.

Today, he identifies as a BioCreative— in his own definition, an artist who pulls inspiration from the inner workings of life, revealing its intricate beauty through creativity rooted in personal experience.
